To install, there are community-provided packages available for most Linux distributions. Search your distribution’s package manager.
For Arch Linux you can simply use pacman or packer:
sudo pacman -S pianobar
Then launch it by typing: pianobar

Same on my end. I use a VPN. I think it’s because they cannot show relevant ads. 15 years later and this projects is still being updated which is cool!
